Sad news....

Last night, we came home about 8:30 from a friend's house to find that both are dogs were missing. Panicked, we called out their names and my brother spotted our black bulldog Sofia limping from the fence-line of the land next to us. We went through several explanations of the injuries (which was two puncture-type wounds on the right hip and at the neck) as we hurried her inside the trailer to treat her. We've come to the conclusion for the most part that she must have hurt herself trying to get out of the fenced-in chicken-wired area that we had them both in. We think she must have injured herself by getting caught on part of the fence and falling onto this metal box that we had pressed against the gate. That, or we're afraid she had a run-in with coyotes. We thought she was recovering, but I think that the stress took a turn for the worst on her heart worms because she died this afternoon. We are going to miss her so much. She was such a sweet dog. Nicky - our little Chihuahua- is still missing. We think he must have wandered off when Sofia broke out of the fence. We're praying he'll somehow find his way back to us wherever he is OR someone found him and will put a "FOUND DOG" sign at our post office or something. Please pray that we'll find him.
