What should I title this?

No idea. :) Anoucement! I have officially finished the LEFT BEHIND: The Kids series (By Jerry Jenkins and Tim LeHaye)! Books 1 through 40! Whew, that took a while to read. As Jace said, "Wow. You finished them? Ha, I don't remember a time when you weren't reading them!" What did I think about them? They were amazing!! I loved them! I know that there are some people who do not care for the series because they aren't "theological". Well, its one man's (or two man's)oppinion on what they think will happen. Know one knows for sure! But I absolutely loved it. Personally, I found the last book to be a bit...weird. Not at all how I envision Christ's Return, but oh well. I totally recommend the series!! I'll miss Vicki and Judd though (the main characters). The series is so long, I'll probably never read it again. Ok! I have an idea! "A game? A game? A game?! I love games!! Pick me!" (Dory, Finding Nemo) :D Ok, by using the comment section, write down the book that you are currently reading, the title, the author, and the first sentence. Also, what page you are on. Then, this is optional, write down a small section of the book that you liked (small paragraph, sentence, etc). Then, optional, write what you think of the book so far! I'll start. Babylon Rising by Tim LeHaye Exactly thirty-three hours and fourty seven minutes after he had last been in church, Michael Murphy was hurtling through a terrible dark aybss. Favorite section: An impossible escape from the jaws of death... The secret of a Biblical prophecy revealed... A loved one brutally attacked... Forces of terrifying evil empowered... A man of surprising courage is tested and proves ready to become a much-needed hero for our times... And that's just the beginning... What I think about it? I love it. It's not as...bone-cracking suspensful as I would like it (you know like un-put-downable), but I still really like it. To summerize it all up, it's basically like a christian Indiana Jones book. I don't want to give too much away, so that's all I'm going to say. Oh, page number: 180 Your turn!! By the way, is any other bloggger currently experiencing technical difficulties with your blog? As in having to do everything through HTML codes? It is driving me absolutely crazy. My blog just doesn't like me!!

Yea! I'm so happy I get to share the book I am currently reading.

Title: Worldliness

Author: Edited by C.J. Mahaney

First Sentence: "Hunched over his desk, penknife in hand, Thomas Jefferson sliced carefully at the pages of Holy Scripture, excising select passages and pasting them together to create a Bible more to his liking." (C.J. Mahaney is using Jefferson as an example of how we often mentally "clip" out
1 John 2:15 "Do not love the world or anything of the world." from our Bible.)

Page I'm on: 52

At the end of the first chapter C.J. Mahaney talks about how we can fight the sin of worldliness. Here's what he says: "Do you want the world to lose its appeal? Then crowd out worldliness by filling your affections with the cross of Christ. Crucify the world as a dead and undesirable thing by meditating on the love of the Savior. Resist the bait of the world by gazing at the wondrous cross. For it is 'the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ' wrote Paul, 'by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.' (Gal. 6:14)"

I'm just starting out on this book, but I'm really looking forward to getting into it more...sounds like it's going to be convicting.

Great idea (I'm afraid my comment was rather long...sorry.)

Since school books don't count...

"Anonymous Tip" by Michael Farris. I started it at the Half Price Book Store, and just reserved it at the library, so I don't have the book to quote the first sentence, but I'm on page 76! And I'm loving it!

I love the two book recommendations! I am so going to look into both of them. I am currently reading a wonderful book by Charles Swindol....don't remember the name of it (haven't had any cawfee yet) or what page I am on...it is in our room and daddy is sleeping...and we all know not to wake up daddy. I am also reading another book about the English language (see above comments about the details). This is a great game...love games! You so stole my saying! *Pick Me!* Or it could have been Donkey from Shrek! Love you, goosey. Yours and Megan's blog are the only ones I read daily...no pressure, right?
