Hi!

I have been a wayward child ~ I have acted out ~ I have questioned soveriegnty~ And had my share of doubts ~ And though sometimes my prayers feel like ~ They're bouncing off the sky ~ The hand I hold won't let me go ~ And is the reason why~ I will stumble ~ I will fall down ~ But I will not be moved ~I will make mistakes ~ I will face heart-ache~ But I will not be moved ~ On Christ the solid rock I stand ~ All other ground is sinking sand ~ I will not be moved ~Bitterness has plagued my he art~ Many times before ~ My life has been like broken glass ~ And I have kept the score ~ Of all my shattered dreams and though it seems ~ That I was far too gone ~ My brokeness helped me to see ~ It's grace I'm standing on! I LOVE that song!! But why choose it as a blog title, you may ask? Well, besides the fact that I hit the air with my fist and express an "OH YEAH!" every time I hear it, I think it really nails it when it comes to what most Christians struggle with today. I know several people, including myself, who frequently refer to this song during times of trial. I see it like we, as believers in Christ, are standing on the Rock of God while the enemy is furiously throwing flaming arrows of temptation (jealousy, impurity, immodesty, dating and all that goes with that, currupt marriages, strife, rebellion, hatred, idolatry, dishonesty, cults, have at you!) at us as we desperately try to deflect them with the Word of God. Yes, the impact from the arrows sometimes make us stumble or even fall down, but nothing will ever move us from the Rock Of God, right? Isn't this song awesome?! Let's hear it for Natalie Grant! ... On second thought, God probably gave her the words...so sing with me! "Our God Is An Awesome God!!" =D
